New Research on Quercetin and Sulforaphane for Melanoma Prevention

Dealing to skin cancer...

There is a promising approach to combat melanoma,

one of the most aggressive forms of skin cancer.

A study showed that quercetin, an ingredient found in onions, and sulforaphane, an ingredient found in broccoli sprouts, could limit tumor growth.

While both ingredients are already known for their cancer-fighting properties,

combining quercetin and sulforaphane has proved even more effective.

Researchers found that these ingredients work together to stop the growth and movement of melanoma cells. This powerful treatment also significantly reduced tumor size in mice,

showing promise as a possible treatment for this serious disease.

The key to their success?

The pairing of sulforaphane and quercetin dramatically reduces an enzyme called MMP-9

that plays a key role in the spread of cancer and tumour growth.

Lowering MMP-9 levels can help slow the progression of melanoma and other aggressive cancers.
